5. The Cell has been severely- in my opinion -cut down. The GPU is using GDDR3 at 700Mhz (1.4Ghz DDR)... not even 1.8Ghz...
Of course, the upside is that 256Mb XDR-RDRAM and 256Mb of GDDR3 is in the console. I didn't expect this, but I am not altogether impressed. The Rambus memory is 3.2Ghz (not 6.4Ghz). It all seems... just not big enough. Is 512Mb enough, I mean, REALLY enough for those graphics you're generating and eventually, making into a game?
One of the demos showed signs of slow-down. It was a boxing demo. Yes, the graphics were simply so far ahead of anything you've seen, you can't believe what you're actually seeing). Well Sony, no matter what you lose making the Cell processor powerful enough so that it can make the RSX graphics move smoothly... at 60fps... for those demos to be made into a game (I mean, COME ON!), you'll have to do it.
The Cell's cut down feel really made me not too amazed as the Xbox 360 did (and Gran Turismo isn't as great as you might think-- it's crap infact). Back to the Tekken demo however, it did leave me totaly disbelieving that the PS3 could actually run that ingame (and I really DON'T THINK SO). Namco, what in hell happened to Ridge Racer?
The 2 Teraflop performance is mostly the RSX; but the Cell should not be less than it is. 7 SPUs from 8? Why? 3.2Ghz? Why? 1.79Mb of on-die-cache from the default and expected 2.5Mb? Why? It's 0.09nm... what's the problem?
It's not due until Spring 2006. 0.065nm... yes, no, Sony?
Xbox 360 is going to sell like hot cakes would if they were attached to an army of female models who hadn't had sex for 2 years.

6. The xbox 360 is probably the best looking console shown. But,It's the inside that counts right. The ps3 has it all.ESPECIALLY the "halo" killer,KILLZONE 2.That game lokks absolutely amazing.Hopefully that's real gameplay.this time around with killzone it'll earn the name HALO KILLER.sorry for the downgraded site and the midi bank.

I saw KillZone2, and although I know that it wasn't running real-time, Sony/IBM/Toshiba in the next 6 months will get another 500Gigaflops more performance out of PS3's hardware (like the Cell), and push the RSX to 2Teraflops, getting close to 2.5Teraflops overall performance.
The other thing they will have to do is either get the VRAM memory up to 512Mb for the RSX, or have XDR-RDRAM replacing it entirely, but I don't think this could be done.
The Cell definitely needs more power. The RSX is so powerful I don't think it's fully sinking in what the PS3 will be able to do at launch. That RSX, in my opinion, is as powerful as 4x Geforce 6800 GTs running in parallel (so, yeah, I am saying the RSX seems to perform like 16x4 pipelines). I kid you not. It's a killer GPU.
The other thing to remember is the PS3's 1080P capability. I wouldn't fall in to this too much. 1080P is about 2 million pixels on screen. 720P about 1 million. The reason the PS3 has twice the power of Xbox 360 is to do in1080P what the Xbox360 will do in 720P.
Except the Xbox360 will do 4xAA and 8xAF by default making 720P look like 1080P, and without any performance hit due to a 256Gb/sec 10Mb NEC chip as a 60x/sec/buffer .
In that regard, the consoles are on an equal footing, but the RSX, I am sorry to report, will rip the crap out of the ATI R500 in the Xbox360 over-time- it's THAT powerful.
